Manufacturers Warranty

Southern Cross is proud to offer a limited lifetime manufacturer's warranty on all of our hog dog protective gear. We believe in the quality of our materials and manufacturing techniques, and we want our customers to have complete confidence in their purchases.

If any part of your gear fails or comes apart due to a manufacturing error, we will repair or replace it. This includes any issues with stitching or faulty hardware, such as bindings, straps, and buckles. For instance, if the stitching did not catch the binding (trim) of a vest and the binding came off as a result, this would be covered by the warranty.

It is vital to understand that Cut Gear is meant to be cut. With use and action, you will see cuts on the gear. This is normal and happens with all cut gear. Getting cuts does not indicate a fault in the gear; it indicates that it has performed as designed, absorbing the bulk of a hit and reducing the chances of a life-threatening injury. Every cut that you see on your vest or collar is one that would have otherwise been on your dog.

Additionally, it is important to note that while our gear is highly cut-resistant, No Cut Gear, from us or any company, can be guaranteed as completely puncture-proof. The combination of materials in our gear makes complete punctures extremely rare, but under the right conditions, complete punctures can occur on any vest. When complete punctures do occur, the gear is designed to minimize damage and hopefully prevent a life-threatening injury. Our products are intended to provide added layers of protection that can significantly reduce the risk of a life-threatening injury; however, hog hunting is a potentially hazardous activity, and injuries can still happen.

Since getting cut is the intended purpose of all cut gear, it is considered normal wear and tear and is not covered by the warranty. However, if you believe your gear has not performed as expected in any way, please contact us, and we will work to resolve the issue.

To reduce the chances of a complete puncture, we recommend carefully selecting the right vest for your needs and properly caring for and maintaining your gear. Please see our "100% Cut Proof?" and "Cut Gear Care" blogs for more information on these topics. Additionally, please be aware that even with proper care and maintenance, vests will need to be replaced eventually. Please see our blog on "When to Replace my Cut Gear" for more information on this topic.

We have never lost one of our personal dogs due to injury while wearing Southern Cross Cut Gear, and we receive numerous reports and stories of our products saving dogs' lives every day. We are hog hunters ourselves and use our gear multiple times every week to protect our own personal pack. Every single product we offer has been tested and used by us personally in the field. If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact us. We believe in our products and stand behind them 100%.
